A Testimonial Letter from Special Olympics Team New York-Capital Region Athlete Rob Rogers Jr

Dear Special Olympics New York,

It was a pleasure to represent Team New York at the 2014 Special Olympics USA games in New Jersey and thank you for selecting me to represent Special Olympics New York- Capital Region for athletics. I live in Saratoga county where I train and practice for track and field. This was my first Special Olympics USA National games, I had an amazing time and was a blast/ also was a lot of fun for the whole week and a dream come true. All my hard work, training and dedication had paid off. Thank you to all my coaches that helped me with my training and I would not have had this opportunity with out them.
I’m very proud of my accomplishments two weeks ago in New Jersey, for track and field for shot put and mini jav. I got my personal best throws for both events at the competition. I meet new friends and old friends and Special Olympics is like family to me. Thank you team New York and also special thanks goes out to Stacy, Shannon and Nathan the HOD for team New York for everything they have done for us two weeks ago in New Jersey. After participating in this years Special Olympics USA games has mad me a better Athlete and a role model to other Athletes in my area. I’m so very grateful to have had this opportunity that I was apart of something special. So thank you again with all my heart and hope to see you again.

Sincerely,
Special Olympics Team New York-Capital Region Athlete
Rob Rogers Jr
