Long Island Regional Update – 7/26/2013
On Monday, July 22nd the Gold Coast Tour for Champions Golf Outing was held at Old Westbury Golf & Country Club to benefit the athletes of Special Olympics New York. On behalf of all of our athletes we would like to thank all our sponsors, participants and Honoree Dr. Kenneth Saunders, Nassau Community College Acting President, for making this year’s Gold Coast Tour for Champions Golf Outing one to remember. All the generous support helped raise over $157,000 which helps us provide cost-free sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. All contributions help us sustain the impact our programs have on our athletes and allow us to offer these programs to nearly 62,000 athletes – at no cost to them or their families.
