Section VI High Schools Competed in Unified Bowling for First Time in 2018

Section VI high schools competed in Unified Bowling for the first time in 2018, adding to the already thriving Unified Basketball program in partnership with NYSPHSAA. Following league play, two culminating events were offered. In the North, Medina claimed first place at Brad Angelo Lanes, followed by Akron, Sweet Home, Newfane, Clarence, and Niagara Falls. In the South, Cheektowaga came out on top at AMF Lancaster Lanes, followed by Iroquois, Holland, Eden, Olmsted, Lackawanna, and Salamanca.

Our third season of Section VI Unified Basketball will be tipping off shortly. Expected schools competing this year include Akron, Cheektowaga, City Honors, Clarence, Eden, Frontier, Grand Island, Hamburg, Iroquois, Lake Shore, Lancaster, Lockport, Medina, Newfane, Niagara Falls, Olmsted, Pioneer, Salamanca, Starpoint, Sweet Home, and Williamsville.

We also head proudly into our sixth year offering the Unified Basketball event at St. Bonaventure University. Allegany-Limestone, Franklinville, Olean, Portville, and Salamanca will come together on April 24 for a day of competition on the campus of the Bonnies!
