Shaun Cuddeback
Shaun Cuddeback has worked for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for 25 years. He is a former K9 Handler, Collision Reconstructionist, Academy Instructor, and was promoted to Law Enforcement Lieutenant in 2021.
Shaun joined the Law Enforcement Torch Run over 15 years ago and has been lucky to have his wife of 35 years, Marjie, stand with him in all things Special Olympics. He has 2 great kids, Joan and Shaun, a beautiful daughter-in-law, and 4 lovely grandchildren. The whole family helps and participates in every Special Olympic event Shaun is involved in. The first time Shaun joined the NY State Games High-Five Line, he was hooked. He has run the NYC Marathon twice, proudly representing Special Olympics New York.
“The best thing that I have been able to do as part of my job is without a doubt participating in the Law Enforcement Torch Run Final Leg for the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy!”
Shaun just returned from his Final Leg journey in March 2025. This adventure has shown him how important LETR and Special Olympics are on a global level. He has big plans to increase awareness for our wonderful athletes and has no intention of slowing down anytime soon.
